About me
I'm a freelance journalist, content writer and copy editor. A former secondary school English teacher, I started out in the industry over 20 years ago writing about education and work for national titles such as the Guardian, the Independent and the TES.
Now, most of my work involves producing print and digital features, blog posts and branded content for membership organisations, professional bodies and charities. I'm happy to cover most topics but my main areas are health, sport and physical activity, and social history.
I'm also a member of the freelance content team for contract publisher, Hack Creative, where I write digital content for the Chartered Management Institute.
As well as writing, I take on copy editing and proofreading and in the past have been a longstanding freelancer for large charities and organisations such as Girlguiding, the Woodland Trust and British Rowing,
I'm based in London but maintain close connections with West Cornwall, where I grew up.
